My family likes it. Haven't been there for a few months, but the quality was much improved when the ownership changed. Last time we ate there everyone liked what they ordered.
Yes, they are.
Husband loves this place. Food is great. Totally worth price
Great food, great price, grate people. When I order carryout it is always hot and freshly prepared, and never have to wait. Best Chinese food in the area.
We like our egg rolls with bean sprouts and plum sauce, NOT tons of cabbage and duck sauce. We get what we love here. I have only ever had one meal that wasn't perfect when ordering take out. We don't get out here often enough since we have to drive 30 minutes to get there. I would buy the plum sauce by the gallon if I could. We have dinned in a few times, we we're very happy with the service.
i love the chiken/dog soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood but i do love it
Great Almond chicken, reasonable price
Huge portions, great service whether dining in or ordering take out. Their food is great and doesn't taste like it was frozen or premade. I would definitely recommend. My favorite Chinese place in Davison.
I have eaten here since Chee Kong opened its doors over 30 years ago. It has seen a lot of ups and downs. Lately, down seems to be the predominant direction. The food at present is better since the management change than previously. The food has become so cheapened that it wasn't worth eating any longer. I can handle the duct-taped chairs and ancient tables if the food is good, but when food, ambience, and service is all consistently terrible there is no point any longer. With the previous owners, one had to know when the good cook was working because he ignored the owners and made the food well. It was obvious when he wasn't working because the food was terrible and anything remotely expensive was left out of the dishes. At present, the food seems to have stabilized to a point midway between great and terrible. I suppose that could be viewed as progress of a sort. This is still the best Chinese style restaurant in Davison, but it is sad to see the decline over the years.
I will say Chee kong restaurant I ordered chopsuey 4 dollar extra meat and I was lucky to have 6 pieces my wife took one bite it tastes very badd I call them up to let them know they refunded my money and they told me not ever come there again so people if you order extra stuff make sure you get it because they don't care but they do have a good egg roll
I ordered chicken noodle soup and chicken fried rice. With the soup, from a Chinese restaurant I have come to expect lots of noodles. There were barely any. Lots of onions which bothered me. The fried rice had next to no chicken in it. I ended up throwing the rest of it out. I also almost got the wrong order as the guy seemed very confused as to which order went with which phone number. Overall, NOT impressed
Little dated but great food
My absolute favorite place! Pleasant atmosphere, Wonderful staff, Delicious food for a great price! I've never had a bad experience there and everyone is so friendly.I recommend to everyone !!
This is the best Chinese food by far in the area in my opinion. My family and I love it! The restaurant is always clean. Decent serving sizes. Prices are fair. The only thing I would say is that I wish the staff was a bit more friendly, but they are not rude by any means.
Best place to go prices are a little high but the food is AMAZING especially the crab racoons best I've ever had and definitely great portions.
Order combo for two but could have fed four. Food was excellent.
Very bland, the only thing good was egg rolls.
Our food was fresh, flavorful, and served piping hot. Service was attentive. The waiter noticed we both choose vegetarian entrees and alerted us that one of the soups we chose (which comes with the entree) had a chicken broth base. Entrees also come with a large, tasty egg roll. Only complaint is we never received the requested chop sticks, but the rest of the experience wad good. Decor is modest, atmosphere quiet and casual. Good value for the money. We will return.
Food has greatly improved since my last visit, would come again
I order take out hands down the best chines restaurant around got my food fresh and hot huge portions for reasonable prices. Definitely recommend this place.
Great place. Super staff, great selection and good pricking. Recommend
I was excited to try a new Chinese restaurant for me that is.. but it was just ok. Who skimps on the rice and the fried crab cheese was too sweet and very little flavor. Oh well, I'll keep trying.
I ordered take out many times, n never had unsatisfactory food or service. New owners are much better cooks . Best Chinese food in Davison
Terrible bland food. Almost zero flavor. Kids meals don’t get juice. Only soda. After telling my children they get dessert with their meal (because that’s what the menu says) we were informed “they don’t make desserts on sundays” my family will never be back! For 43.51 for 2 adults and 2 kids under the age of 5 we can eat many other places!
Great friendly staff but wasn't to happy that the general tso chicken is same fried Chicken use for sweet and sour chicken just with a different sauce... but food still is good
I went with my family we ordered a Seaseme chicken, sweet and sour pork and 2 General Tso's. They all came out in the same batter that sweet and sour chicken would be battered in. Also, the sauce was literally all the same flavor as the sweet and sour sauce with either a few peppers in it or Seaseme seeds on top.
Food is good... Staff is super friendly.
New owners and now its so much better than it used to be!!!! never had a bad experience here!!!
My husband and I just left here and the food was wonderful! We both had the orange chicken and it was great. It was hot and fresh, you could tell it was made to order. The dinner entrees include soup, an egg roll and white rice. There is no upcharge for fried rice instead. The egg rolls are larger than most Chinese restaurants and clearly made by hand. The filling is delicious, and everything was piping hot. The entrees were large enough my husband I could have split one. Our server was very attentive and courteous. This has become my new favorite Chinese restaurant!
Oh Where should I begin? The floor is dirty, probably has never been cleaned other then a little dusting since it was put there. The tables are gross, always dirty, there are duct tape on the seats. There was fighting going on in the kitchen, it made my wife very uneasy. There was a lipstick stain on my tea cup! Like they barely even wash their dishes. I'm sure they break multiple health code violations a day. Their food was okay at best. Won't be coming back.
Good food, good service, very reasonalbly prices. Husband and had the dinner for 2 and it was $30 including tipz
We did not eat inside due to covid 19 but we did carry out and the food was delicious. The egg rolls were on point 👌. It seemed a little bit more expensive then other places but we'll be back !!!
The food is always good. The new management is really changing for the better.
Very good service will be back great food
We go here often now! New owners are wonderful and are very attentive. We hadn't gone in awhile because we didn't like the previous owner as she was very rude. Food is always very good and lots of it!
Best Chinese food in davison by far!
Great food. Best eggrolls.
Good food prepared quickly!
Best almond chicken and egg rolls around.
I was very impressed by the precautions they used to keep safe. The employee was masked. (Carry out) Iwas asked to leave my money in a basket, not to hand it directly to the employee. They set my food in the basket for me to take, and the food was delicious! Really fresh!
Always delicious food, though the bit with the phone was confusing. Their phone was having trouble and they got the wrong phone number for my order, even though it was definitely what I ordered. If there were lots of people ordering food I could see where it would be frustrating. But whatever the case, the service is prompt and the food is absolutely delicious, would definitely recommend to a friend!
"The guests are our friends, we should be friendly to our friends" This is the first sentence my uncle told me when i came to the " Chee Kong" on my first day. My name is David, and I am the new owner of “ Chee Kong”. I am very glad to meet all of you. My uncle and his wife have retired, and today is the third month we opened, I am sorry, i am late to update the news. My uncle and his wife has been operating the Chee Kong for 30 years, this is not a easy thing. But please rest assured that although they have retired, my family will be more friendly to treat each guest.I know my family will make mistakes, but please forgive us, we will try our best to do every thing good and nice.
Will never go back they charge you even if you don't eat
Second time coming here & they don't have things on their menu. Don't offer things you don't have. Not impressed. Will not be back.
Food was ok. All the chicken was cooked in deep fried batter that was thick, general tso and sesame chicken sauce was sweet and sour sauce with peppers and sesame seeds. If you want sweet and sour chicken you will pay way too much for, come here. Otherwise, I wouldn't go back here ever again.
The food is good, reasonably priced. I would have gave it 5 stars, but they dont give you soup with your meal. You have to order it ala cart. I just found that odd cause every Chinese restaurant I have been to give soup with the meal.
A really great friend of mine is a manager of this restaurant! Great food! Great people! And a great place to eat!
Quiet and friendly atmosphere excellent food
Best take away around
Good food, terrible service. Calling in a order always goes smooth until you get there. You'll walk into the building with 10 other people waiting on their orders as well. So when they tell you 15 min on the phone, be prepared to sit there and wait another 30 till you pay and leave.
I like this place. Good food. Good service. Never a wait. Usually pretty quiet. My only complaint is they (like most Chinese restaurants) are stingy on the plum sauce.
I ordered carryout, using door dash. My order was perfect and HOT! (Thank you to both parties on that one. I had the almond boneless chicken. It was great! The gravy was more like a brown chicken gravy instead of the yellow type that I'm used to. Not terrible, but not super great.I also ordered the crab rangoons and while very flavorful, I'm not sure there's a whole lot of crab in them.
